Norton 360 をインストールするには次の最小必要条件に合うコンピュータが必要です。
電子メールのウイルススキャンはほとんどの標準 POP3 互換と SMTP 互換の電子メールクライアントをサポートします。
Norton 360 をインストールできない場合、Norton 360 のインストール中にデフォルトで生成される Norton 360 <日時>.log ファイルを保存することをお勧めします。これはシマンテック社のサポートグループがより速く問題を解決するうえで役立ちます。Norton 360 のアンインストール後には 2 つの Norton 360 <日時>.log ファイルがあるはずです。インストールログは日時が早くて KB サイズが小さい方です。アンインストールログは日時が遅くて KB サイズが大きい方です。
ログファイルを見つけるには

4. Norton 360 <日時>.log というファイルを見つけます。(<日時> は Norton 360 をインストールまたはアンインストールした日時です。)
Norton Add-on Pack は Norton 360 と連携して働き、セキュリティ機能を強化します。Norton Add-On Pack をインストールするには次の手順で操作します。
1. Norton 360 メインウィンドウ上部にある[設定]リンクをクリックします。
2. [設定]ウィンドウの[詳細設定]の[保護者機能とプライバシー制御]リンクをクリックします。
3. ブラウザがNorton Internet Security と Norton 360 の保護者機能ページを開きます。
4. 下にスクロールして Web ページの下部でNorton Add-On Pack. をダウンロードするために[ここ]をクリックします。
Norton 360 は電子メールスキャンでデフォルトポートのみをサポートします。着信電子メールのデフォルトポートは 110 番 (POP3)、発信電子メールのデフォルトポートは 25 番 (SMTP) です。現在、当社は他のどのポートにも電子メール保護を提供しません。
Outlook Express 6.x は電子メールメッセージが転送中に修正されないことを確認するためのデジタル署名の機能を備えています。Norton 360 の電子メール保護はウイルス感染の修復中に電子メールを修正します。これが原因で Outlook でメッセージが修正されたことを知らせる警告が表示されることがあります。
Norton 360 は次のインスタントメッセンジャーをサポートします。

3. [システムのプロパティ]ダイアログボックスの左にあるタスクリストで[デバイスマネージャ]リンクをクリックします。
4. ユーザーアカウント制御のメッセージが表示されたら[続行]をクリックします。
5. [デバイスマネージャ]リストの[ネットワークアダプタ]の下で赤い×印が付いている項目ごとを右クリックしてから[有効]を選択します。
日本語の文字セットを有効にしたオペレーティングシステムでファイアウォールトラフィックルールやファイアウォールプログラムルールの編集ウィンドウで入力した文字が表示されないことがあります。
回避策は一時的にデフォルト言語に変更することです。
Windows XP でディレクトリシンボリックリンク (別名 NTFS 接合点) を使うと、スキャンが繰り返されることによってハードディスクドライブのスキャン時間が長くなることがあります。
Norton 360バックアップは一般に利用可能な次の容量に基づいてバックアップに必要なCDまたはDVDの枚数を推定します。:
