E-mailclients
Logboekbestanden zoeken om problemen met de installatie en verwijdering op te lossen
Als Norton 360 niet kan worden geïnstalleerd, is het raadzaam het Norton 360(Datum/Tijd).log-bestand op te slaan dat tijdens de installatie van Norton 360 wordt gegenereerd. Met behulp van dit bestand kan het ondersteuningsteam van Symantec uw probleem sneller oplossen. Nadat u Norton 360 hebt verwijderd, dient u twee Norton 360(Datum/Tijd).log-bestanden te vinden. Het installatielogboekbestand moet een eerdere datum en tijd, en een kleiner aantal KB bevatten. Het verwijderingslogboekbestand moet een latere datum en tijd, en een groter aantal KB bevatten.
Het logboekbestand zoeken:
1. Klik op de Windows-taakbalk op Start > Uitvoeren
2. Voer een van de volgende handelingen uit in het dialoogvenster Uitvoeren:
- In Windows Vista/Win7 voert u de volgende opdracht in:
%allusersprofile%\nortoninstaller\logs
- In Windows XP voert u de volgende opdracht in:

De Tijdelijke map van Windows wordt in Windows Verkenner geopend.
3. Zoek een bestand met de naam Norton 360 (Datum/Tijd).log, waarbij (Datum/Tijd) de datum en tijd is waarop u Norton 360 hebt geïnstalleerd of verwijderd.
Norton Add-On Pack installeren
Norton Add-On Pack werkt met Norton 360 om extra beveiligingsfuncties te bieden. U kunt Norton Add-On Pack installeren door de onderstaande stappen te volgen:
1. Klik op de koppeling Taken boven aan het hoofdvenster van Norton 360.
2. Klik in het venster Taken onder Algemene taken op de koppeling Ouderlijk toezicht en Privacycontrole instellen.
3. Uw browser wordt geopend op de pagina Ouderlijk toezicht voor Norton Internet Security en Norton 360.
4. Scroll omlaag naar de onderkant van de webpagina en klik 'hier' om het Norton Add-On Pack te downloaden.
Ondersteunde poorten voor e-mailbeveiliging van Norton 360
Norton 360 ondersteunt het scannen van e-mails alleen op de standaardpoort 110 (POP3) voor inkomende e-mail. De scan voor uitgaande e-mail is poort 25 (SMTP). Wij bieden momenteel geen e-mailbeveiliging voor andere poorten.
E-mailberichten digitaal ondertekenen in Outlook Express 6.x en Office XP
Met Outlook Express 6.x kunt u e-mailberichten digitaal ondertekenen, zodat ze tijdens de overdracht niet gewijzigd kunnen worden. E-mailbeveiliging van Norton 360 wijzigt de e-mailberichten tijdens herstel van virusschade. Dit proces genereert een Outlook-waarschuwing die u laat weten dat het bericht is gewijzigd.
Netwerkconnectiviteit op Windows Vista 64-bit Edition herstellen
Norton 360 kan de netwerkconncectiviteit niet automatisch herstellen op Windows Vista 64-bit Edition als het probleem zich voordoet op het netwerk.
Netwerkconnectiviteit van uw apparaat herstellen
1. Klik in de Windows-taakbalk op Start > Configuratiescherm.
Als het Configuratiescherm niet is ingesteld op Klassieke weergave, klikt u links op de koppeling Klassieke weergave.
2. Dubbelklik in het Configuratiescherm op het pictogram Systeem.
3. Klik op de koppeling Apparaatbeheer in de taaklijst aan de linkerkant van het dialoogvenster Systeemeigenschappen.
4. Klik op Doorgaan als de melding van Gebruikersaccountbeheer verschijnt.
5. In de lijst Systeemeigenschappen onder Netwerkadapters rechtsklikt u op elk item met een rood kruisje (x). Vervolgens klikt u op Inschakelen.
Bij systemen waarop de double-byte tekenset is ingeschakeld, verschijnen getypte tekens soms niet in de bewerkingsvensters Algemene firewallregels en Programmaregels van firewall.
Als oplossing wordt voorgesteld de standaardtaal tijdelijk te veranderen.
Norton 360 met symbolische mapkoppelingen gebruiken
Wanneer u symbolische mapkoppelingen (ook wel NTFS-koppelingen genoemd) op Windows XP-computers gebruikt, kan het scannen van de vaste schijf langer duren vanwege herhaaldelijk scannen.
Norton 360 Backup - ondersteunde media en compatibiliteit
Norton 360 Backup schat het aantal cd's of dvd's dat voor back-ups is vereist, aan de hand van de volgende algemeen beschikbare capaciteiten:
- CD
700 MB (80 minuten)
650 MB (74 minuten)
- Dvd
4,37 GB (één laag, +/-R)
7,96 GB (dubbele laag, +/-R)
De back-upberekeningen zijn gebaseerd op een cd van 700 MB en een dvd van 4,37 GB. Wanneer u een schijf met een andere capaciteit plaatst, berekent Norton 360 Backup het geschatte aantal vereiste schijven opnieuw.
Symantec hanteert de volgende definities om de vereiste hoeveelheid online back-up te berekenen:
- 1 MB = 1.048.576 bytes (1.024 KB)
- 1 GB = 1.073.741.824 bytes (1.024 MB)
Stations met Sonic DLA uitschakelen
Stations met Sonic DLA worden niet ondersteund door Norton 360 Backup. U dient deze stations uit te schakelen om back-upfouten te voorkomen die zich voordoen wanneer Norton 360 toegang probeert te krijgen tot stations met Sonic DLA.
Stations met Sonic DLA uitschakelen
- In het eigenschappendialoogvenster van de cd-installatiekopie heft u op het tabblad DLA de selectie op van DLA op uw stations inschakelen.

Symantec Support bij verbindingsproblemen
Als u geen verbinding kunt maken met de website Symantec Support, wordt dit mogelijk veroorzaakt door een externe firewall die de toegang tot Remote Assist van Symantec via internet blokkeert. Poort 653 moet open zijn om toegang tot Remote Assist te verkrijgen. Raadpleeg de handleiding van uw externe firewall voor informatie over hoe u ervoor kunt zorgen dat deze poort open is.
Toegankelijkheid - Hoog contrast
Als u uw computer op hoog contrast moet instellen, biedt Windows XP/Vista verschillende manieren om dit te doen. U kunt uw computermonitor op hoog contrast instellen voor de beste resultaten wanneer u het Norton-productvenster en de Help bekijkt.
